Where I see division exploited today: the comment sections. Us vs them, hood vs suburbs, degreed vs street. The algorithm profits when we fight each other. Logging off the noise was step one for me.
What rebuilt trust on my block: a community fridge. Nobody signed a manifesto. We just fed each other consistently for two years. Trust is built by showing up small and often, not by grand speeches.
